Being a human is hard.
A great therapist helps.

MEET LESLIE

I’m Leslie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy works best when you can show up as you are—with curiosity, honesty, and whatever else you’re carrying that day.

My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative. Life is complicated and therapy gets to hold space for that. There’s room here for the grief, anxiety, anger, uncertainty, humor, contradictions—and all the things you’re not quite sure what to do with yet.

I believe good therapy starts with being real.

I’m not a sit-silently-and-nod kind of therapist. I’ll ask questions, notice patterns, offer another perspective, and sometimes gently challenge you. I’ll also tell you when I don’t have the perfect answer.

I believe in being genuine, and I ask the same from you. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on or having the right words to explain it. We can be curious together and figure things out as we go.

I’ll give you tissues. I’ll laugh loudly, curse, and wear comfy pants.

What you’re carrying deserves to be taken seriously. But that doesn’t mean every moment we spend together has to feel serious.

Some things you learn through training. Some things you learn by living them.

My training and clinical experience shape the therapist I am, but they aren't the only things I bring into the room. I'm also a mom, a partner, a friend, and a person whose life hasn't always gone according to plan.

I've experienced the enormous shift that comes with becoming a parent—the love and joy, and also the anxiety, exhaustion, identity changes, mental load, and the complexity of being desperately needed while simultaneously feeling like you have very little left to give. I know what it's like to adore your kids and still find yourself wondering how bedtime is possibly happening again.

I also know grief. I know what it is to have the future you pictured change, and to discover that grief doesn't stay neatly contained to the moments when you have time for it. It comes with you into relationships, parenting, work, ordinary Tuesdays, and all the other parts of a life that keep moving even when something significant has changed.

Those experiences are part of who I am and what led me to this work. They don't mean I know exactly what your experience is like—and I won't assume that I do. But they do mean I'm comfortable sitting with the complicated stuff: loving someone and being angry with them, feeling grateful and overwhelmed, laughing in the middle of grief, wanting something desperately and resenting what it asks of you.

You don't have to make your experience neater, more palatable, or easier to explain before you bring it here.

But training does matter.

I bring both lived experience and specialized clinical training to this work. Over the years, I’ve pursued continuing education in the areas I care most deeply about—including perinatal mental health, trauma, grief, and the ways our brains and bodies respond to difficult experiences.
